meet Colleen

Colleen has been teaching movement for 40 yrs.  Her deep fascination with how the body moves led her to a B.Sc. in Exercise Science with a speciality in Athletic Therapy.  Wanting more she got certifications as a Pilates, yoga and somatics teacher. A perpetual student, Colleen loves to learn.  She has completed > 100 hrs of Integral Anatomy and Anatomy Trains dissection workshops.  Colleen is a Pain Care Aware lead trainer and has certifications in ACT for Chronic Pain; Functional Neurology; Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery; Restorative Yoga; Gentle Somatic Yoga and more.

Her love of palpation and curiosity about how the body & mind are connected led to a post-graduate degree as a manual Osteopath.  Colleen has > 1000 hrs of continuing education in various manual therapy approaches.

She’s best known for bringing creativity and science together in her compassionate approach to pain care, movement and education. Colleen’s unique approach combines manual therapy, vagal tone, and neural rehab with embodied movement, mindfulness, and a sense of curiosity & play.  She loves that moment when people realize they have all the tools inside them to help themselves!

meet Jo

After tending to family members in past years, Jo started sharing everyday selfcare experiences with others online through a variety of practical tools—yoga, mindfulness, acupressure, breathwork and more—to give them the support they need so they can continue doing the things that bring joy and connection.

Besides yoga teaching certifications (a 200-hour and a 300-hour with a focus on therapeutic essentials), Jo has done additional study in a wide variety of areas. She also has level-II certifications in Reiki, Thai yoga bodywork and Yin Yoga, as well as three decades of experience in aromatherapy. Additionally, she’s certified in Meridian Therapy, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Five-Element Theory, Acupressure Bodywork, and Fall Prevention Tai Chi.

Jo is also a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, so she enjoys weaving lessons learned from the natural world into time spent both on and off the mat.
